Chai is spicy, Indian tea. There are many recipes for making great chai, most of them taking a lot of time. But I want chai now! Here’s the perfect recipe 🙂
For about two mugs of chai take:
- ½ cinnamon stick
- 3 pieces of cardamom
- some black peppercorns
- 3 cloves
- loose tea, for example green, black or rooibos tea
The perfect taste depends on your personal preferences, so vary with the amounts of spices. Grind all spices roughly and put with the tea in a tea egg. Pour hot water in two mugs, add the tea and give it some time.
I like my chai without additions, but feel free to turn this chai into chai latté by adding some milk or soy milk.
