For this event, journalist Johannes Visser from De Correspondent (www.decorrespondent.nl) will join us. For this reason, tickets are at a discount compared to usual Cuddle Workshops! Only come to this workshop if you don’t mind a journalist in the room. He’ll introduce himself and his reason to visit:
“Hi, I’m Johannes Visser, an education journalist at De Correspondent (www.decorrespondent.nl). Right now, I’m working on a series of stories that try to answer this question: how can education help create a kinder, brighter and better future? To explore this, I visit places where people learn things they didn’t get taught in school, places where values worth pursuing are at the center. That’s why I’d like to write a piece about the cuddle workshop. How can we learn to be kinder and more curious about one another? No photos will be taken, and I can keep names anonymous if you’d like. Hope to see you soon!”

Longing for deeper connection and authentic, safe touch?
The Original Cuddle Workshop is a gentle, playful, and powerful exploration of how we relate to boundaries, consent, and nurturing human touch. In this workshop, you’ll experience how cuddles can be healing, comforting, and connecting — without pressure, expectation, or hidden agendas.
Through carefully guided exercises, you’ll learn:
- How to clearly communicate your needs and limits
- How to say “no” with confidence — and hear a “no” without taking it personally
- How to give and receive safe, consensual touch
- How to relax and unwind into nourishing connection
Expect a combination of solo reflection, pair work, and group exercises that build skills for healthy relating — all in a warm, welcoming, and non-sexual setting.
This workshop is designed for all genders, sexualities, and relationship styles. You can join on your own, with a partner, or with a friend. Witnessing is always valid participation — there is never any obligation to cuddle, and you can choose your level of engagement moment by moment.

Wilrieke Sophia (they/them) – Netherlands is a seggs & intimacy educator, (TEDx) speaker, advisor & coach for creative makers and scientists, author, and founder of Exploring Deeper and Cuddle Workshops International.
Wilrieke’s work focuses on empowerment through self-knowledge, radical self-inclusion, trauma awareness, and neuroscience-informed practices woven into experiential spaces. They champion boundaries, consent, and embodied play as foundations for healthy connection.

The workshop venue, Awananda, is on the first floor with stairs (no elevator available). There is an all-access bathroom on the ground floor and regular bathrooms on the workshop floor. No shower is available.
