How to take responsibility in difficult situations

I could feel something standing in between my boyfriend and me. I wasn’t sure what exactly caused this tension. But it was there. And it felt pretty nasty. In the past I would have blamed him. I would take offense because of him not putting his shoes where I thought he should put them. Use these minor events to let the tension escalate into a fight. We would both feel bad. Because we didn’t get to the source of the tension, the situation wouldn’t improve. If we’d continue on that path, our relationship would become fragile. That much I learned. So I didn’t blame him. Instead, I took 100% responsibility and held myself, and only myself, responsible for the situation.…

30 days of blogging

I made it! I’ve been blogging each day for the past 30 days. I did it for two reasons: To find out whether I like blogging To give my blog a kickstart and create content quickly Do I like blogging? I was curious whether I would like blogging. I’ve been trying to keep up a blog a couple of times before, but never felt really enthusiastic. Why would it be different this time? This time it’s different for several reasons: I write about my passions. It’s all about my life. It’s a little bit scary sometimes to be really open about the topics I am living. But it brings excitement. It’s releasing to be able to open up. To just…

How to release jaw tension

How to release jaw tension

The jaws can be a major place for physical stress to accumulate. Just as the neck, shoulders and back, the jaws are a hotspot for mental unease to build up. Why at the jaws? Because we were told to do so. A little history of jaw tension There’s a little kid, sitting at the dinner table. The kid had a great day at school and wants to tell all about it. But the parents are talking with each other. They haven’t seen each other all day too and are just as eager to tell about their day. The kid constantly interrupts the conversation of the parents. They ask the kid politely to wait a little bit. When they are finished…

Feel like crying

Some days things just don’t work out. Emotions swirl around. They don’t have a clear reason or source. They’re just there. Life seems tough. It makes me feel like crying. What’s wrong? Nothing. Everything. I don’t know! I’m so happy with the life I live. I’m so grateful for the abundance it brings me. Still tears run down my face. I want to be free of worries. Feel relaxed in everything I do. See everything and everybody as a source of blissful joy. See each day as an infinite source of possibilities. Enjoy every split second of it, smiling broadly. What is healing?

Healing by using the hands is the oldest form of medicine. The history of healing goes back a long time. It’s older than using plants and herbs. Ancient Egyptian priests are pictured placing their hands on people in hieroglyphs. Over 2000 years old Indian Vedic texts describe how the human body can be healed by using healing energy. Life force energy The concept of life force energy is widespread through human culture. Life force is what permeates through all living things. It’s what differentiates alive from dead. It’s the essence of the body, the spirit, the soul. Chinese call it Chi, Japanese call it Ki, Indians call it Prana, Greeks call it Pneuma and Hawaiians call it Mana. We can…

In love, 1+1 is much more than 2

Mathematically 1+1 equals 2. If you have a certain amount of something and you wish to divide that amount with a number of people, everybody gets a part. When more people join the party, the portion of the pie each person receives reduces. Young parents love their newborn kids more than they could ever imagine. When a second baby is about to arrive, it is a common fear that they could never love the second child as much as this first child. After the second child is born they realise that their worry was needless. They love their second, third and all following children just as much as they love the first one. Love ≠mathematics Love is not like mathematics at…

Polyamory: won’t he find a better match?

Open relationships often get the stigma that the partners involved are sexually very liberal, sharing their juices with many people. Often there is a negative energy surrounding the topic. That changes once people get to know what an open relationship really is about. Many couples I know realized that after I told them what an open relationship comes down to, they have a relationship themselves that can be labeled open is some way. To me, an open relationship is a relationship in which you support your partner to completely and totally live the life they wish for themselves. To discover who they are, to connect with people without limitations, fears or feelings of guilt. To enjoy life to the fullest…

How to come up with topics to write about

What to write about? Some days I wonder what I will be writing about. I challenged myself to write for 30 days a blog post each day. Considering my other daily activities (being mother, owning horses, etc.), it means I have only limited time each day to write. Sometimes there only a little time slot available (like today). For me, there are two ways of dealing with the topic of inspiration: The masculine approach The masculine approach to writing is to set a moment in time, sit behind my computer, and find a topic to write about. It’s about being effective (doing the right things) and efficient (doing the things right). Not going to bed until you finish what you…

How to clean a mailbox

After a turbulent time with many new experiences, it feels like time for reflection and evaluation. Resting a little before the rollercoaster takes me on another round. Yesterday I felt an urge to clean my house, as a physical act of my mind that’s clearing up. Today I felt like cleaning up more. My email account piled up messages for some years and because of the mess it wasn’t very nice to look for old messages, and I started to forget answering important emails, and getting distracted by unimportant stuff. How to clean a mailbox? Here’s what I did: Start somewhere First I made a new folder for emails and and called it ‘old inbox’. I put all messages older…
